Hello, my lovely classmates (Omg mushy!),

If you do not know, our class have quite a few Pisces/March babies.
And since we haven't had a class outing for quite some time, let's take this March holidays to book a chalet!

Don't so fast say don't want to go okay!

Reasons for booking a chalet being:

-It is not like we do this every holiday we have until sian.

-If we hold a BBQ session at places like East Coast Park, some of us will have to leave earlier for parents to fetch/catch last buses or trains.

- It'll be more convenient. In terms of toilet, and also a more comfortable space for us to play games etc before and after BBQ.
Imagine we have to walk a distance to get to the toilet to just wash our hands etc.
Or sitting at the limited stone stools provided at BBQ pits, facing the table that would be full of our belongings and our food and drinks. Where got place to play right!?

- Alright, I know you guys will say things like we can meet earlier in the day to cycle or skate first, then BBQ at night or what. But since you already make time to come for a class outing, why not make use of the day to the fullest, by doing more activities together as a class?
e.g. BBQ, cycling, movie session, card games (things we did in the previous chalet) and so on, not just come cycle/skate a few hours then got to get ready to start fire and prepare for BBQ.

I know most of you all are concerned about the space constraint in the chalet.
So class effort please, got lobang as to where got cheap and big chalet speak up!
Doesn't have to be very near entertainment centre like Costa Sands @Downtown East, because those are very pricey.
I rather we spend more of our class fund on food, yes?:)

I know March still long, but I'll book you guys first! So be prepared to make yourself free for maximum of 2 days of chalet during the holidays.

I offend people when I blog. So, just in case, I'll use the disclaimer.

I proudly present you Omfg #4.

First of all, I'd like to announce that my life is currently in a mess. All thanks to a video game commonly abbreviated as WoW.

It is a wondrous masterpiece by Blizzard Entertainment and a drug to 11million players world wide. This game has literally crushed my life. I do not blame the game, but rather myself for the destruction of my well-being. Everything was going well till I introduced a couple of friends from my secondary school clique to join me in the online sensation.

The thing about me and games is that I strive for excellence and dominance. Which is very different from what my peers actually care about - camaraderie and entertainment. As a result, I never got in good terms with my them in the game; To the extent where they ignore my existence. We all started in a new server as level ones and were innocently killing rabbits and mice in the beginning. However, as my understanding towards the game is undoubtly deeper, I peaked the leveling system in a mere couple of days and was very much ahead of the others. Getting geared up was also a breeze since I knew everything about all the bosses and encounters. My ingeniosity and familiarity allowed me to rise to the top.

Being a thoroughly experienced player, an elitist attitude developed in me. I started to hate failing and my patience was shrinking by day. I began to scorn my friends who are, despite being new to the game, not performing up to my expectations. I told them off again and again. In an attempt to promote self-reliance, I even redirected all their questions to a website which contained much information about the game. But my efforts were in vain, my buddies viewed it as my reason for neglecting them. Deep down, I knew that the key to success in the game was to read up. My favourite phrase to them was: 'read it up yourself, I fucking hate spoon feeding.' Till the end I used the laziness of my peers in my defence when we came to discuss this.

Today, I have offered abstinence to the game to salvage the friendship that was forged and refined over 3 years. I feel deeply remorsed about the harsh insults I dished at my buddies. What really moved me was how they reacted to it, and some words that they have told each other while I was being a jerk - 'don't hate Melvin for this, he's just like that in a game.' Which is so true because I could never share a wonderful experience with someone who doesn't think that winning is the most important thing. We have had similar arguments over this issue on yet another game by Blizzard Entertainment. The critically acclaimed scenario of DotA.

The fact that I'm a genius at playing games bugs me, I will not deny my capabilities. I have exceptional skills in gameplay, but most of the games that I partake in require team effort. If the crew members are not individually capable, the ark will sink. Period. I'm a prodigy yet unsuitable for my forte, how vexing it is to realise that.

The game has also left my academic results in a state of confusion

I am so leaving the game.

The second issue I would raise is about purity and in a way or another, virtuousness. In the following, I would like to shake off hard-feelings and write the usual way I do it - just as the predecessors of Omfg's might suggest.

Several weeks ago, one of my aquiantances lost his virginity. 17 years old and have experienced sexual intercourse? thats illegal yet amusing. Back to the issue of virtuousness and purity - would you marry someone who had lost his or her virginity? I, for one, certainly will not.

Of course I'm not here to say that anyone that has undergone pre-marital sex is morally incorrect or would suffer eternal condemnation from me. I am just here to say that I am against it. Call me old-fashion, whatever; But it is what keeps us asians who we are. I firmly believe that we have stronger values and principles in a sense.

Why do we not face the problems that our western counterparts are facing right now; namely ambiguous parental responsibilities and increment of STD cases. You must have guessed it already - because of sheer devotion. The movie of 'Mama Mia!' is a very good example of where I am coming from. The kid doesn't even know who her father was; Imagine that.

Here are my views, your virginity is more precious than you can ever imagine; I would even worship virginity if I could. Marriage is there to certify sex with the other person whose name is stated on it. Of course there is also the 'sharing the rest of my life' part. Don't you think that your virginity is one of the best things you can promise your spouse? It is the sign that you have indeed kept your desires till the day of marriage and proving that your partner is worth the wait.

My term of purity embraces smoking and drinking too; Courses of action that leave permanent damages on the body. Here's the clue, I don’t fancy cigerattes, alcohol and certainly not pre-marital sex. It takes a hell of a discipline to maintain the fact that I haven't taken a puff, tried a pint or even dreamed of having sex before my marriage. Doesn't all of these constitutes the perfect human being, specification wise? (Please be smart enough to realise what I'm trying to say.)

I will quit this time.

Here are FIVE Reasons why you SHOULD go for class gathering on 14 October this Wednesday!

Reason Number 1: Bond our class TOGETHER!

As you all can see our class isn't as bonded than before.. So lets take this opportunity to do something together as a whole class!

Number 2: Marina Barrage is a really nice place.. For those of you who haven been there. This is a really good chance!

Number 3: Its gonna be fun! KK is the organiser leh! How can it be not fun?! So please don't say things like there will be nothing to do.. We will definitely work something out!

TL;DR version: July was disturbing. Oh my fucking god.

Finally, a series of events to write about. Dear readers, I have finally found a disturbing fortnight after joining the polytechnic. Do not misunderstand, I don't go around looking for one. Towards the end of July 2009, unfortunate and mind-boggling phenomenons took place. Surprisingly, they all seem to concentrate towards the last week.

It shall start with an accident taking place right before my very eyes. Breakfast before school; a random decision I made to ease my lethargy. I had pulled an all nighter in order to complete the PowerPoint project that was issued without my knowledge. Perhaps I wasn't paying attention in class, I'm totally oblivious. Either ways, I managed to finish the assignment which was themed "My Hobby - Video Gaming". So, I was gleefully ravaging that bowl of fishball noodles before I heard the sickening cacophony of clashing vehicles. Almost immediately, I looked up and saw a man thrown about 3metres away from his motorcycle. If I'd provided the rest of the information, you will most definitely puke onto your beloved keyboard. Astounded, I gulped down the last fishball, grabbed my bag, and made my way to the bus-stop. Thankfully, my immediate destination is quite a distance away from the scene.

Aboard the bus, images of the tragedy flashed vividly across my mind. Sick. I almost broke down in tears as I thought about what my parents often tell me "Life is Fragile". What a way to start the day. As expected, I turned up late. Towards the end of school, Viknesh surprised me with the decision to proceed to MDIS for an interview. He had probably sent me an sms or an e-mail informing me, again, I was oblivious. More than 24hours awake - way to go.

On Friday night, I had a rejuvenating night's rest. The next day, I looked into the mirror and thought I saw Ash's best friend - Pikachu. Pimples, god damned pimples.

Tuesday, 28th July, was another happening day for me. Though it isn't as dramatic as the previous event. Interestingly, I would consider it an exaggerated version of what I perceive of JiaQi's, perhaps casual, remarks.

I do think a lot. I ponder and I ponder; and I went lolwut? It was probably said in spite of my criticism and satirical comments towards a sport that JiaQi participates readily in - Table Tennis. Though I have to give her credit for figuring out I can't do ball games.

My argument is this. Though I'm well-known for my habit of generalization, should I assume that "Girls who can't Sing and Dance should be ashamed of themselves"? Because deep down, somewhere in our hearts we know that girls are meant to portray such an image. Just as you claim that men are supposed to be out in the field/court playing their hearts out. What if people are born to excel in different aspects, just as you are gracefully swinging that bat? And men such as myself to be artistically-inclined; my vocals; my sketches; my essays. Enough said.

Apart from my disagreement to the assertion, I thought of what basketball meant to me. What kind of a sport is basketball? Bounce; pass ; shoot; score. A competitive game that involves teamwork and great synergy. Not anymore. Upon discussion with my peers, I have concluded that basketball is but a wannabe sport. Empirical observation revealed that nobody passes the ball anymore - teammates are vying to score. Besides, every guy (exclude girls) in my life who played basketball acts as if they had the status to despise whoever they come across with. Guess what smartass, I'm richer than you. Money makes the world go round, not basketball. For those who claim its love, choke it and go back to your mum's embrace. Conversely, soccer players have not attempted demoting the sport.

Of course, there are a hell lot more events that occured throughout the month. Namely, the Andrew Gray Slander of DTRM/1A/05, the surprised Mildred Chan who found it hard to believe Melvin sang the 'Grace Kelly' falsetto part and the hilarious pool games that were played in Moberly. Lastly, I believe I may have broken my personal record of making the most enemies in a month.

Sorry to be typing in short sentences, im typing with my left hand only which is bandaged (my right arm isnt functioning, and i wouldnt want to move it- my shoulder came off 3 times yesterday already, and it hurts like SHIT. Dislocated shoulder u see)

Anyway, im sure almost everyone had heard of the incident by now, even tho not everyone was there. So i'll re-posting everything that happened, in slow-motion. :P

Flying through the air- currently no injuries

Used my hands to protect my face- one abbrasion scrape across my left palm, another one on my index finger.

Impact too great, i flipped and slammed face first into the road- cut upper lip, ugly bruise at left jaw, and several cuts super near my left eye. Fortunately my specs took most of the damage, or else i'll lose my left eye le. Specs destroyed

Completed a flip and landed on the right side of my body- twisted wrist, dislocated shoulder

Skidded for a while more- shredded skin off both knees (approz 10 days to heal)

Total damage taken: 90Damage
Heath left:10 HP

For some like me who goes out everyday, staying at home and not bgeing able to move all my limbs properly SUCKS. I'll be bored to tears. And we have mst coming in 2 weeks, and i cant even hold a pen. And 4 more project work left! crap.

Would love to have company tho, hopefully someone can visut me someday soon :)

I'm sorry for losing my temper and screaming like some mad woman today. I was really stressed out about my dance audition, and worried for our class chalet as well. My friends were telling me to just skip this meeting and go meet them in school to practise, but I was the one who suggested this meeting so we can get things done, furthermore I really don't like last minute plannings because that'll waste a lot of time etc. Therefore when you guys reached like one hour late, I was quite pissed off.

So, I'm sorry again, let's forget today's incident and have fun during chalet ok!
By the way, I PASS THE AUDITION FOR SDZ(SP dance club)!!!

HELLO DEAR CLASS I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH LEH TAOYAN!:D

Today is CIP day for group POWERFUL because I'm in it yay!!!!!! Okay just kidding la th other half of th class please don't get agitated:(
Anyway! For today we have, XIAO HUI, YE QING, MARIE, SYLVIA, LEROY, GINA AND OF COURSE ME LA TAOYAN:D

So we went Changi Sailing Club and had a lot of fun ok. We even came up w what type of class tee we will have;
1st year(which is this year, duh.) - Collar Tee
2nd year - Round-neck Tee
3rd year - Study year no time make tee (LOL we will see how la ok:D)
WE OSO HAVE A DRAFT OF TH CLASS TEE DESIGN.

Just a random post here. I'm just totally bored and i shall rant a little to entertain myself.

I believe i should start cutting down on kfc. I mean, who actually eats over 6 pieces of chicken every week? I know i need to grow fatter, but kfc just isn't the way to go. Anyway, i used to be fat when i was little. Was in TAF club in primary 4, then i slimmed down until i became who i am now. Heh, makes every fat guy in the world jealous. :D Anyway, back to the topic. If i carry on i'll die young of heart disease. Then when i get buried and decompose the fats will be the last part to disppear, and the plants will choke on my fats.

Speaking of which, i found this intresting bit of infomation:

Murphy's Law states that (i) everything that must go right, will go wrong and (ii) the thing that you dread most must, of course, happen.

And although Murphy's Law does not require any memorising, Newton's Law seems a lot nicer now doesn't it?

No discrimination against gays. but today i witnessed a series of homophobic scenes while working out at SP's gym. FUGLY.

scene 1: Bunch of SP swimmers in trunks touching and playing with each other's DICKOS near the pool.

reaction 1: Biggest TURN OFF.

scene 2: Three petite chinese dudes were busy ogling at the swimmers and went "OMFG, nice butt"

reaction 2: *jaw open*

scene 3: While i was doing sit-ups on the elevated sit-up bench, a random malay dude stands in front of me watching me execute the exercise. Uber awkward as that dude's eyes were on my shorts.

reaction 3: I immediately wanted to go home. LIKE real fast!

scene 4: Upon entering SP's gym toilet after working out, i noticed the 3 chinese dudes (from scene 2)... stripping NAKED. Yes. NUDE. Well i know it's a male toilet, but you guys don't have to be this OPEN. The action didn't just stop there. These earthlings actually started mocking at each others DICKOS. "yours small la." "yours like pencil." yours like banana."

Boys.

reaction 4: lesson learnt. never go to SP's gym alone.

I hereby declare the reclamation of my Queen Size Bed.

If you are wondering why I 'reclaimed' the bed, it was because my father had moved into my room for the past 2 weeks. The reason was because my mother had shingles and the household thought it was contagious - which was later proven incorrect. In an attempt to shun my mum, my dad came up with the notorious idea of sharing my room. At first, I wasn't against the idea. Afterall, I use to sleep with my parents when I was a little kid. That night, all hell broke loose.

If you think I were big in size, wait till you see my old man. We were supposed to squeeze into my coveted queen size bed. The first 2 nights were catastrophic. Once my dad flipped around, I was only left with a third of the bed; barely enough space to move even my limbs. I had to sleep with my arms crossed, literally. That aside, he snores... Really loudly and produces grumpy noises from time to time. Which makes it a pain just to try and fall asleep. Sometimes, I cry while trying to slumber. Othertimes, I'm plotting on how to strangle my father in his sleep. It also made me wonder if I would get married - to share the bed with my beautiful wife? Hmm...

However, after the first few days of sharing the same bed, my dad suggested to introduce the single spring bed mattress that was left unused in my sister's room. One of us had to sleep on the single bed and the other had the luxury of the my bed. Selflessly, I offered to accept the fate of a single sleeping spot. Clearly one of the worst decisions I've ever made. Apart from the really cramp conditions I encounter on a single sized mattress, it was really an eye opener. I meant, the male heirs of my family are granted a queen size bed all for themselves. Having fallen from heaven to hell really felt amazing to me. But even so, the snorings killed me. I often lay on the bed awake from 11 to about an hour or two past midnight and alarm goes off at 6 to prepare for school. The pimple colonies on my face have also succeeded in expanding their empires.

Here are some facts, people who snore are usually people who can lie on bed and fall asleep almost instantly. The latter are insomniacs which I happen to fall under. (If you disagree, thats your problem, don't flame) So the harsh truth is that when u simply can't fall asleep because you're an insomniac, whoever that is sharing the same room might just be making it worse by snoring. Trust me, I learnt it the hard way.

And now, Its ALL OVER. I might just pop a champagne or two in celebration of my reclamation and perhaps also the surrender of the Tamil Tigers to the Sri Lankan government after waging a civil war that lasted for about 25years.

Before I end my bullshit, I want to urge you people to actually post something on the class blog. With that, I don't mean 2 sentence entries and pictures that don't paint a thousand words. Write something solid. Or else, it'll just become my personal blog - a place for me to lament upon my miserable life.

And so, I just thought you guys should know about my health condition. I may seem muscular to some of you but the truth is, I'm on the verge of self destruction; and here goes...

I went to Far East Plaza today, 25th April 2009, to visit a chinese physician who happened to be my aunt. (I don't know what you call her, she's my mother's younger brother's wife. Figure that out yourself.) While I just wanted to get my running nose/flu cured, the physician listed a whole lot of problems that scared the living daylights out of me. She even made the effort to list them down.

1. High Blood Sugar
2. High Blood Pressure
3. Weak Lungs
4. Weak Stomach

I was like - what the fuck?
Well, I knew that my blood sugar was ridiculously high, and I've been trying to cut my sugar intake down since last week. The high blood pressure could've been resulted by a mere 5 hour sleep I had last night. And so... why the hell did weak lungs and weak stomach appear on the list? I didn't get a good reason out of weak lungs, but my stomach was weakened because I wasn't having my meals regularly. That aside, my mini-diabetes and high blood pressure are hereditary.

Melvin: So... What about my flu?
Physician: Once you get your problems solved, it'll go away eventually.

What?... I know I'm not supposed to question her professionism, but... What?
I'm supposed to live with my flu till I get things straight? Holy shit. So I didn't want to ask anymore just in case she adds anything else into my nightmare. The only relieving thing that she said was that I'm only 17 and these problems can still be solved if I take action now. Thanks for telling me that. I might be typing out my after-death will if I were ignorant.

The point of all this is to urge you people to help me out. Simple things can do actually. Though I'd really prefer the girls serving me tea and the guys helping me carry my bag that seems to weigh a ton, NO. Just drop me gentle reminders of how I should not be drinking that glass of iced lemon tea or munching away that piece of waffle.
And most importantly - DON'T, don't offer me sweets. Please.

Sugar is Baaad.

Okay, after the chairperson posts here, guess its the vice chairperson's turn. There's 3 things i want to say in this post:

1. Nice blog! Thanks for spending time and the effort to create the class blog :D nice chairperson!

2. Gatherings so far (whenever we have a new class gathering just copy and paste the old list and add the new gathering below. This way We can keep track):

14/4- Bugis
15/4- Moberly
17/4- Sentosa

23/4 (thursday)- CLASS GATHERING SENTOSA- attandance is compulsory unless you have a valid reason.

3. Having all these scandals going on in class is actually something to be proud about for our class, since which other class has 42 scandals in 4 days?? :D But im sure most of you would have heard- From 20 April onwards when sch starts the scandals would actually be written down in a notebook.

Now some people (yes its pural) have raised concerns, such as:
- It wouldnt bond the class as people of different gender would be too wary to speak to each other
- It would provide much embarrassment
- If the person is attached and their bf/gf found out it would be hard to explain

Bascially these are the major concerns, so now we have 2 solutions:

1. Scrap the whole idea
2. Put down conditions (1. All scandals ARE for fun laughter peace and joy only 2. All scandals are strictly kept within our classmates only, no laughing or teasing about it at lecture halls etc)

so which solution do you think its preferrable?

@Chairperson: Now we need a tagboard :)
